Getting Started

Here are some things to consider in getting started:

  • Set some short-term, achievable goals just to get some momentum
  • Talk to lots of different people about the idea to help you work out the details
  • Do some research on the net to see if similar projects exist – if so, consider working with the existing projects or just calling them to ask for guidance and advice
  • Find out if you need to be a legal entity to carry out this project
  • Ask yourself if there are any personal risks for you that should be more carefully thought out
  • Be aware that there could be significant resistance to the concept of “Eldership” and to the ideas of your particular project – we’ve certainly experienced it – but you don’t need to be deterred or discouraged by it. Just be aware that it could happen.
